Two M4 plans · Five available locations

Choose a Cloud Mac Rental Plan for Your Workload

Rent a dedicated physical Mac mini by day, week, month, or quarter. Each active order corresponds to one physical device; compute resources and local storage are not shared with other tenants. This is not a virtual machine.

Plans & term pricing

Two plans—choose based on actual workload

Core suits individual development, standard Xcode builds, and lightweight automation. Plus provides more memory and base SSD storage for concurrent tasks, larger projects, and continuously running runners. Pricing is independent for each of the four terms.

Add-ons

Review expansion costs separately from the base model

Additional storage is useful for large DerivedData directories, dependency caches, model files, and build artifacts. Thunderbolt 5 linking is priced per device and suits workloads requiring multiple devices and high-speed interconnects.

Add-on pricing by day, week, month, and quarter
Add-on Use case Per day Per week Per month Per quarter
+1TB SSD Caches for medium and large projects, build archives, test data, and model files $3 $8 $14.8 $40.3
+2TB SSD Shared build nodes for multiple projects, large artifact archives, and high-volume experimental data $6 $16 $29.6 $80.6
Thunderbolt 5 linking (per device) Multi-device collaboration, high-speed device interconnects, and build clusters with a defined topology $1.8 $4.8 $8.9 $24.2

Measure peak usage first

Record the project, dependency cache, DerivedData, and archive sizes after one complete build, then reserve space for logs and short-term growth. Do not estimate storage from source size alone.

Separate caches from archives

Keep frequently used dependencies and the current project on the device; export long-term archives according to your team workflow. This reduces repeated downloads and avoids treating expanded storage as your only backup.

Define the task before linking devices

Decide whether you need parallel builds, artifact aggregation, or high-speed transfers between devices before choosing how many devices to link. Each device is billed separately for the selected term.

Deployment options

How do rental, ownership, and shared VMs differ?

The key comparison is not just the one-time cost. Development teams must also consider delivery speed, resource exclusivity, who handles hardware operations, and how quickly the setup can change as projects evolve.

Dedicated physical rental vs. owned Mac hardware vs. shared VM
Comparison point MiniRent dedicated physical machine Owned Mac hardware Shared VM
Cost structure Pay by the selected day, week, month, or quarter; add-ons are priced separately, making device costs easy to assign to a specific project. Requires upfront purchase, space, networking, and ongoing hardware costs; idle equipment still consumes budget. Usually billed by virtual resources. The apparent entry cost is lower, but performance depends on host resource allocation.
Getting started Choose a model, term, location, and add-ons, then submit the order. Actual delivery time is returned live by the console. Requires purchasing, receiving, network access, system initialization, and remote-access configuration. Virtual instances can usually be created quickly, but they do not provide the device boundary of a dedicated physical Mac mini.
Resource exclusivity Each active order corresponds to one dedicated physical Mac mini; compute and local storage are not shared with other tenants. The team owns the entire device and has exclusive resources, but must ensure remote reachability and on-site security. Multiple instances may share host resources; isolation and performance boundaries depend on the virtualization platform.
Device operations responsibility The platform handles physical devices, data-center networking, and infrastructure status. Users handle their work environments, credentials, and business data. The team handles power, networking, hardware failures, remote recovery, and device lifecycle management. The platform handles underlying hardware; users still manage virtual systems, permissions, and work data.
Upgrade flexibility A new order can use either plan and select a term, location, and add-ons again—ideal for adjusting to project phases. Upgrading usually means purchasing new equipment, migrating the environment, and dealing with the old device, making changes slower. Virtual resources are flexible to adjust, but cannot replace test boundaries that require a real physical Apple Silicon device.
Best-fit decision scenario Teams that need a dedicated physical environment, remote collaboration, predictable configurations, and project-based rental terms. Teams using equipment at high load for the long term, with on-site facilities and a willingness to manage the full device lifecycle. General computing workloads that do not require physical-device properties and can accept shared underlying resources.
Models & location catalog

Two models available in all five locations

Model and location combinations in the catalog are normally orderable. This matrix confirms availability relationships, not fixed delivery times; actual availability and delivery time at configuration are returned live by the console.

Term-based pricing, settled in USD

Choose a term based on how long the task will run, then confirm device quantity and add-ons. Do not derive one term’s price from another; the final order details are shown on the console confirmation page.

Choosing a term

Choose by task boundaries—do not convert manually

Day, week, month, and quarter each have separate catalog prices. Term pricing is not calculated by mechanically multiplying the daily rate or dividing the monthly rate.

DAY
Daily

Best for short-term validation, temporary build tasks, environment compatibility checks, or one-off experiments.

WEEK
Weekly

Best for a sprint, concentrated migration, pre-release builds, and testing.

MONTH
Monthly

Best for continuous integration runners, stable remote development environments, and cross-time-zone collaboration.

QUARTER
Quarterly

Best for ongoing projects with a defined schedule, reducing repeated term-confirmation steps.

Payment methods supported

Pay with USDT-TRC20 or Visa / Mastercard / Amex (via Stripe). The gateway actually available is shown during checkout.

Settled in USD

Models, terms, device quantity, and add-ons are all priced in USD. Recheck the order details, selected location, and device quantity before submitting.

How to order

Submit after completing four checks

The configurator shows available locations and add-ons for the selected model. Catalog combinations do not require a manual quote; review them in order.

  1. 01

    Choose a model and term

Choose between MiniRent M4 Core and MiniRent M4 Plus based on peak build memory, project size, and usage duration, then select day, week, month, or quarter.

  2. 02

    Choose an available location

Choose the location that best fits your daily connections from Singapore, Japan (Tokyo), South Korea (Seoul), Hong Kong, and US West, while considering your code repositories and collaborators’ locations.

  3. 03

    Confirm add-ons

Based on project data volume, decide whether to add +1TB SSD or +2TB SSD, or add Thunderbolt 5 linking for devices that need multi-device collaboration.

  4. 04

    Review checkout and manage devices

Check device quantity, term, location, add-ons, and USD total before submitting. Manage subsequent order records, device status, invoices, and support tickets in the console.
